This one would have been good for the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge with this weeks ‘LOVE’ theme

Paolo was asked how does he make these complex and geometric GIF’s

Processing.

It’s a programming language, I code stuff. It’s not hard to learn, but it takes time for it to let you be creative, like every other tool. If you have a specific question about my work that was coded, feel free to ask (but please, send me an email if you don’t have tumblr account or just don’t be anonymous). All my work that was done in Processing can be found here.

Cinema 4D

A 3D software. I don’t know what else to say about it. It let’s you create, model and render stuff. If you want to learn it, just Google for some tutorials, there are a bunch of them on the internet, it’s a big place. My recommendations are Greyscalegorilla.

After Effects

For people who don’t know what it is, understand it like this, it’s like Photoshop with a timeline (Photoshop also has a timeline, but nah man). I use it to edit animations that were made with some other tool, like changing the colour, clone some stuff etc..

There also some other tools I use, but not that frequently. Also, I never use only one of those, it’s always a combination of few of them.

  1. Not a Star War fan, but I really like the form of art that you brought to me here … that pumping heart – is so stunning. I have a living room wall that would love it.

    1. It great how he’s revamped such an old technology of the Internet with such a modern twist… It’d be great if you could have it as a living poster on your wall, just as they appear on here. 🙂

    1. Your spot on Pauline, the software he uses takes a ‘very’ step technical learning curve to master, but it’s so nice to see he’s got the aesthetic creative side to go with it
