The Insignia of Star Wars and it’s logos and symbols were used throughout the galaxy as an affirmation of allegiance to an organization, a token of personal power or a sign of status.

The most notable insignia is the The Alliance Starbird or the Phoenix used by the Rebel Alliance, and most often observed on Rebel pilot helmets. Furthermore the symbol also resembled the emblem of the Jedi Order. The Alliance Starbird has also been incorporated into organizations and units linked to the Rebellion such as the Rogue Squadron crest, the Insignia of the New Republic and most recently The Resistance in Star Wars The Force Awakens in Poe Dameron’s Black Squadron.
