Kylo Ren: The Teenage Years

At this point, it shouldn’t be a spoiler anymore to mention that Kylo Ren is Ben Solo, the son of Han and Leia. Seriously, if you haven’t seen the movie yet, you probably don’t care about it anyway. For the rest of us who have seen it, we can be amused at these hilarious series of gifs that imagine the teenage life of Kylo Ren and a permanently cynical Han and a stressed out Princess– oops, General — Leia trying to raise a lanky kid who’s obsessed with Grandpa Anakin.

Mamalaz over on Tumblr has created a magnificent series of GIFs called “Modern Solo Adventures” which use footage of Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Billy Dee Williams from other movies to make a modern version of Kylo Ren: The Teenage Years. Some of these actually made me laugh out loud…and nearly made me Pirates of Penzance. 🙂

It’s Leia’s birthday and Kylo sends his favourite parent a video message. He goes to some effort.

Lando comes to visit. He ends up seeing more of Ben Kylo then he wanted to.

Han finally admits he loves his knucklehead son. Unfortunately, said knucklehead son has to ruin the moment.

The episode when Hux calls for Kylon to come out and play, but says he’s grounded.
Meanwhile, Kylo is upstairs in his room, live-streaming his time in captivity.

Kylo needs some money to get started on his world domination. His dad isn’t complying.

Episode 10: The Modern Adventures of Han and ~~Ben~~ Kylo
Kylo is grounded, Luke is concerned, Leia is a boss and Han, for once, is amused.

Episode 11: The Modern Adventures of Han and ~~Ben~~ Kylo
Luke thinks it’s high time the family got over all their awkwardness and had a nice sit down dinner.
