Disney have just revealed the official name of Rian Johnson’s upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII. It’s called and as you can see from the logo in the teaser poster below, they’ve gone from the yellow outline of The Force Awakens to a red one, arching back to the red that’s been featured on Revenge of the Sith and the early Revenge of the Jedi posters, also red has traditionally been the color of the Sith in Star Wars lore, so this color choice sets an ominous and exciting tone for Johnson’s new film.
And then there’s the title itself. The obvious inclination is that it’s referring to Luke Skywalker, but if he trains Rey what will she become, a new Jedi which is a Jedi/Sith hybrid that brings balance to force as it was always promised?
