It been two years now since our beloved princess, Carrie Fisher, died at the age of 60. Her awesome daughter Billie Lourd paid tribute to her late mother on Instagram in the best way she can, through song on Carrie’s late fathers piano… Hope you can hold back the tears watching this.
It has been two years since my Momby’s death and I still don’t know what the “right” thing to do on a death anniversary is (I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way about your loved ones). So I decided to do something a little vulnerable for me, but something we both loved to do together – sing. This is the piano her father gave her and this was one of her favorite songs. And as the song says, we must “keep on moving”. I’ve found that what keeps me moving is doing things that make me happy, working hard on the things that I’m passionate about and surrounding myself with people I love and making them smile. I hope this encourages anyone feeling a little low or lost to “keep on moving”. As my Momby once said, “take your broken heart and turn it into art” – whatever that art may be for you.
Thank you for sharing this Billie, your mother will always be royalty to us.
IG-88, also known as IG-88B, or as a Phlutdroid, was a rogue, deadly masculine IG-series assassin droid manufactured by Holowan Laboratories who worked as a bounty hunter. Following the Battle of Hoth, he and several other bounty hunters were summoned by Darth Vader to the Executor and hired to track down the Millennium Falcon and her Rebel crew. Unable to track his quarry, IG-88 trailed his chief rival, Boba Fett, to Bespin, where the bounty hunter nearly destroyed the assassin droid, however IG-88 managed to survive. At some point IG-88 undertook a software infiltration into Death Star II, but his plan was single-handedly thwarted by R2-Q5. The droid later met with mercenary Bazine Netal to speak about the location of the Millennium Falcon.
He now joins the Mandalorians, a fictional people from the planet Mandalore, first conceptualized for The Empire Strikes Back as a group of white-armored “supercommandos”, the idea developed into a single bounty hunter character, Boba Fett.
With Star Wars: Episode IX now under a year away and we still don’t even know what the movie’s title will be, and how it will offer closure on the current trilogy, but the entire Skywalker saga. But this hasn’t stopped the internet from coming up with potential titles for Episode IX, and some of them are pretty awesome!.
So I’ve rounded up the best leaks, rumours, and theories on the title of Star Wars: Episode IX, as well as creating a high-resolution for the each of the Star Wars IX titles.
So here are the ten best possible titles, which I feel like there’s a pretty good chance one of them could be it…or I could be wrong.
1: Star Wars Episode IX Son of Darkness This is one of the most current rumours to potential reveal the official Star Wars: Episode IX title. It comes from a Reddit who claims the person who provided him with the Episode IX title previously gave him info that was correct, so he is assuming the “Star Wars: Son Of Darkness” title is legit.
“Son Of Darkness”was a line actually spoken by Snoke to Kylo-Ren in The Last Jedi, when Snoke used The Force to turn Rey to Kylo and said, “My worthy apprentice, Son of Darkness, heir apparent to Lord Vader, where there was conflict I now sense resolved, where there was weakness, strength. Complete your training and fulfil your destiny.” After another exchange, Kylo then uses The Force on Rey’s lightsaber and kills Snoke.
…Star Wars: Son Of Darkness sounds a great title.
2: Star Wars Episode IX Rule of Two The Rule of Two was a Sith philosophy mandating that only two Sith Lords could exist at any given time: a master to embody the power of the dark side of the Force, and an apprentice to crave it. But what if this Star Wars Episode IX title can be applied to Kilo and Rey, thus ending the Rule of Two and the Sith and they bring balance to the Force.
3: Star Wars Episode IX A New Order
This Star Wars Episode IXcould be some sort of middle ground between Sith and Jedi, with the Skywalker saga ending, then what comes next? The New Order could be a reference to the First Order’s new reign, or most likely, the Sith and Jedi becoming one.
4: Star Wars Episode IX A Spark of Hope
Could the final scene of The Last Jedi have also set the stage for a film that is expected to focus on the Resistance effort to find new collaborators in their Rebellion against the First Order.
5: Star Wars Episode IX The Order of Ren
This Star Wars Episode IX title is one of my favourites, with Kylo Ren now in charge, so why not rename the First Order after him. This title would also position Episode IX to focus on the Knights of Ren, who are still a BIG mystery
6: Star Wars Episode IX The Balance of the Force
What if Rey and Kylo can make peace by the end of Episode IX, that will finally put an end to the endless battle between Sith and Jedi. Balancing the force would put a cap on the Skywalker trilogy without having to kill off the last remaining Skywalkers.
7: Star Wars Episode IX : The Last Skywalker Star Wars : A New Hope was originally titled The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, so IX is supposed to be the culmination of the entire Skywalker saga, and this title plays directly into that theory. Much in the same way The Last Jedi title raised the question of who it was referring to. So it could be Leia or Kylo Ren (or maybe even Rey if J.J. Abrams decides to just undo Episode VIII…Hopefully).
8: Star Wars Episode IX : The Rebellion Reborn
More Reddit rumours has it Episode IX is largely focussing on the Resistance building up a new Rebellion army on the outer rim of the galaxy, so this title would support that leak. It also reflects the fact that with the First Order now basically in charge of the galaxy the Resistance is shifting back into being a Rebellion against the First Order.
9: Star Wars Episode IX : Shadow of the Empire
This was J.J. Abrams original title for The Force Awakens, and it could work here with the First Order on the rise and looking more ‘Empire’ like every day. Also with the rumour flying about Darth Vader’s ghost appearing in Episode IX, this now makes even more sense. And with an added treat, it was also the name of a Nintendo 64 Star Wars game.
10: Star Wars Episode IX : Revenge of the Jedi
This was at one point the planned title of Star Wars Episode VI : Return of the Jedi, and would be a nice reference to the original trilogy, and also helps set up the big conflict between Kylo (Sith) and Rey (Jedi).
But what if director J.J. Abrams can’t put an end on the entire trilogy with just one movie? Is it possible Star Wars could pull an Infinity War and end on a major cliffhanger?
….Star Wars: Episode X!! ??
