StarWars.com have just announced the first six titles that will help with Star Wars theme park Galaxy’s Edge opening in the US later this year, StarWas.com is already promoting the numerous releases that will feed their narrative on the new planet of Batuu, which visitors will then see. It starts with the previously announced five-part comic series Galaxy’s Edge by author Ethan Sacks ( Old Man Hawkeye) and draftsman Will Sliney. The first issue will be in stores on April 24, accompanying the ithorian antique dealer Dok-Ondar. There will also be Leia Organa, who appears to have some interest in the Black Spire outpost. Here is the preview covers:

After we waited a long time yesterday for the twitter announcement, the cat is finally out of the bag. Delilah S. Dawson’s new novel is called Black Spire and will be released on Del Rey on September 3rd. Unfortunately there is no cover and the synopsis is rather sparse. The book is intended as a prequel to the experiences in the park later. Leia Organa sends a spy to Batuu to search for resistance allies.

A Crash of Fate , written by Zoraida Cordova, is the only entry in the “Young Adult” series aimed at younger adults to be released on August 6, 2019. The content description is described like this:
Izzy and Jules were best friends … until Izzy’s family left Batuu abruptly when she was just six years old. Now she’s back, and Jules, the boy who never left, does not know how to handle her. While they are fleeing revengeful smugglers and an angry pirate, the two friends need to find out who they are and what they mean.

And lastly, a somewhat more unusual, if exciting, message: Star Wars: Myths & Fables is a compilation of various stories, legends and myths that are told in the distant galaxy. Here, George Mann writes stories, two of which will be played by Batuu, who will act from places on the edge of the galaxy and reminisce about old fairytale classics with illustrations by Grant Griffin. On the 6th of August you can get a picture of yourself. Over at StarWars.com there is even a first taste of the story with matching illustration titled ‘A Tusken Fable’, which we have included here for you
