Film & Song Maps

What’s not to love about these stunning Film & Song inspired maps by Dorothy, both are based on the vintage style of a LA street map, their new edition ‘Film Map’ is made up entirely from film titles and features over 900 films which if you click on any of the images you’ll launch the New ‘Version 2’ of the WordPress Photo Carousel (which I have to say is very slick) and be able to see the names in more detail and now you can ‘Like’ individual images instead of the whole Blog post.

This is their second in a series of highly popular ‘Map’ Prints with Song Map being the first, which was made up of 390 song titles: from Highway to Hell to Penny Lane, Itchycoo Park to Heartbreak Hotel.

Check this brilliant ‘Heroic’ table of elements featuring superheroes and villains from both the Marvel and DC Universe by Illustrator Matt Cowan who recently did a great Superhero ABCs, which you can see on his DeviantArt page. Matt’s seriously done his research on this and tried to use a more scientific approach as to what makes a superhero or super-villain tick, grouping them according to their team affiliations, date of first appearance, type of powers, species and overall power of the character.

He used superherodb.com to calculate overall ‘Heroic’ numbers to describe the value, as well using some artistic licence along the way.
