Luke and The Binary Sunset
This is quite a major alert in the GeekDom World
…What if Star Wars, the best story ever! Actually happened in a 1980′s High School? Well the über creative Denis Medry
(creator of the Batman Rockabilly Universe
series) has done just that in these wonderful illustrations of the high school adventures of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewy, Vader, and the rest of the crew.
You can almost visualise the movie in the style of Grease or even Back to the Future with Robert Zemeckis behind the lens instructing a young Luke Skywalker played by Michael J. Fox to ‘Use the Force Luke’.
Control, control, you must learn control!
No. *I* am your father.
Luke Skywalker & Princess Leia
Enough of this! Vader, release him!
Yoda & Prof Obi Wan Kenobi
Punch it Chewie
He made a fair move. Screaming about it can’t help you.
R2D2 and The Stolen Plans
C3P0 abd R2D2
Vader and His Troops ..plus Boba
Darth Vader. Only you could be so bold.
Scoundrel? Scoundrel? I like the sound of that.
Han Solo & Chewbacca
Han Shoots First …poor Greedo
Jabba Palpatine & Tarkin
Lando Calrissian and Greedo
Han old buddy! so good to see you
Oh. They’ve encased him in Carbonite.
Ben saves Luke from the Sand People
This Medry guy has some serious talent, which I’d pay good money to buy his Graphic Novel of The Star Wars 80’s High School or The Rockabilly Batman Universe… here’s hoping some publisher will give him an advance to realise his vision.
Here’s a really fun piece of Star Wars geek art by Mike Joos that shows a Cat At-At hybrid (cAT-AT) about to be taken out be a Rebel Snowspeeder using wool as its harpoon and cable. This beautiful image really appeals to my inner geek, especially been a monstrous Star Wars fan and cat lover myself.
Complete randomness can be adorably awesome sometimes!
Another brilliant ‘Geek-Art’ poster from Mark Steele & , superbly inspired by the horror movies posters of the 60-70s with a Star Wars twist…excellent!!
