Hard to believe Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope will have its 40th anniversary next year, how time flies when you’re having so much geeky fun that the film inspired. At the New York Comic Con recently there was an exclusive sneak peek into the galaxy far far away and its future of Star Wars publishing and how they would be ramping up for promotion of the Star Wars 40th anniversary.

It  seems Lucasfilm will be teaming up with the likes of Marvel, Disney-Lucasfilm Press, Del Rey, and Hachette for anniversary publishing. One project that was teased (without real detail) that has Disney-Lucasfilm Press teaming up with Louise Simonson, Walter Simonson, and Tom Palmer for a special 40th anniversary book. More information on this was promised in the Fall.
