The Tour de France came to Leeds this year (or Tour de Yorkshire as we called it) and as a city, we bathed the town in Yellow, and for me, one the most memorably yellow parts of Leeds was the hand knitted jumpers added to The Nymphs sculptures in City Square by Alfred Drury, a figure prominent in the New Sculpture movement. So it seems quite apt that I add this to the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge for the word Yellow

For a second I thought you must have photoshopped this one, it’s fab that it’s actually something that did happen, great pic!
Thanks Laura, it knitted by the local community Elderly Aid‘s craft group in Holbeck 🙂

She looks much warmer in that. Good color choice.
Our trees in the downtown area are outfitted in sweaters for the winter.
They look brilliant, such vibrant colours as well
…cheers for sharing it Jim 🙂
We caught a stage in France and it was epic. Lots of yellow there, too.

Yarn bombers rule! Great photo… and she looks very stylish to boot…
Yarn Bombers…great phrase 🙂
Great shot. Your yellow really pops with the selective desaturation. You’ve got some wonderful contrast going on in the sky too.
Thanks Amy, I did a series of them and had a few framed as well.
Carl 🙂
