This weeks great ‘A Word A Week Photo Challenge‘ is Weather.. and there’s only one word to describe what its like in Leeds at the moment and that is WHITE.
I was inspired by Lucy Gutteridge’s excellent post called Black and White Winter for these shots..check out her amazing shot as well…
I really like the first one.
Thanks Lyle, taken on another one of them lunchtime walks away from the studio
That’s productive two ways.
I love the 3rd one!
I love the white Teasel as well 🙂
I’m torn between the 2nd and 3rd – but I do have a soft spot for a teasel, so 3 wins for me.
I’m with you Debra, how that snow had forced its way into the Teasel’s spiky inner was amazing to see
Perfection!
Thanks Naomi
The first one is amazing…well they all are, but that’s my favorite. Very arty 🙂
Thanks…I was inspired by others 🙂
Only one 2 words: White Wonders.
Thank you Viveka 🙂
Lovely! A very white Leeds.
It sure is, plus there’s more to come
Lovely photos 🙂 though I can’t wait to go back to seeing some greenery around the place! Far too much white stuff on the roads for my taste this week lol.
I can’t wait to see some lovely Snow Drops peeking through the snow… A sign of things to come ..Spring 🙂
Me too! Roll on spring! 😆
I’m drown into snow, nowadays .At least yours is poetic……
Awesome photos !
I’d say I’m quite pulled into capturing its every moment this year, I don’t know why, maybes its because I can now share those moments on this blog with everyone
Yes,sharing is a great way of communication…
Brilliant shots Carl, very proud, xx
Thank you ‘mummy dearest’ Xx 😉
Gorgeous – do you ordinarily get snow like this? -30 here today…
-30 is unheard of over in the UK, and snow doesn’t come very often…I think it’s only fallen at Christmas 2 or 3 times in the last 45 years
All the more reason to get out for those lunchtime walks!
looks like painting! love them all 🙂
Thanks Johanes, so glad you liked them 🙂
Fantastic high-key photos, I love it!
Ciao, Teresa

Hey Lucy, thanks for the reblog and especially the inspiration, there’s was something so touching about the stark simplicity of yours that I had to try take one myself…and I’m glad I did
TYSM Carl 🙂
postcard like images, very beautiful 🙂
My family are from Leeds and I don’t get back there as often as I should, though it is not recognisable in that blanket of snow. Beautiful.
